Fibrebond Breaks Ground on New Electrical Integration Facility

MINDEN, La.- Fibrebond has broken ground on the 297,000 square foot electrical integration facility the company announced in April 2024. The facility will be fully operational by July 2025, increasing the company’s footprint to more than 1 million square feet on 254 acres.

Accelerating growth of artificial intelligence and cloud services and increased energy infrastructure investment are driving demand for Fibrebond’s electrical solutions. This year, over 90% of Fibrebond’s work will be shipped outside of Louisiana.

Between 2022 and 2025, Fibrebond is spending $125 million on capital expenditures that allow the company to increase capacity by 200%.

Fibrebond designs and constructs modular buildings that protect mission-critical equipment. The new manufacturing space will accommodate complex interconnection of electrical equipment within Fibrebond’s modular buildings.
In anticipation of this expansion, Fibrebond began precision leveling twenty acres of land for the new “M3” facility in February 2023. Local firms Aillet, Fenner, Jolly, & McClelland Inc. and Kevin Bryan Architect provided design and engineering services on the project. After a competitive process, Fibrebond selected ENR Top 100 Brinkmann Constructors out of St. Louis, Missouri as the general contractor. Several local subcontractors are engaged on the project.

The new building will add over one hundred construction workers to the Fibrebond site, bringing the total workers on the Fibrebond campus to approximately 1,000 daily including direct employees, contract workers, and the new construction team.
